Disclosure VS Bicep

2013 July 3
by Michelle Manetti

So a few weeks back I went to Field day in Victoria park, the line-up wasn’t earth shattering, but it’s on my doorstep so it’s rude not to really. I don’t really remember much of it to be honest, apart from being ripped off on one of those fairground rides that look exciting at the time, but charge you £10 for 20 seconds of rather lame fun.

There was one other thing I remember and I’m not going to forget in a hurry either.. Disclosure’s set, they were the only real reason I bought a ticket and made the whole thing worthwhile. I’ve been ranting and raving about these young chaps since their very first free Facebook mp3 downloads. I don’t need to tell you how much they’ve blown up over the last year and deservedly so, these are two seriously talented brothers. Not only are they incredible producers, but both of them it would seem are rather talented musicians too. I was half expecting them to just be stood on stage pressing buttons, waving their arms surreptitiously in the air, I would have forgiven them, as the music speaks for itself.. but no!! One of them was on the drums the other on keys, it was a delight to see and earned them even more respect in my eyes. They perfectly worked their way through a set of crowd-pleasing floorfillers of future garage perfection. It was beyond amazing.

The rest of field day wasn’t much to write home about.. BUT there was a rather splendid (unofficial) after party at the Oval space and another of my fave duo’s were headlining – the Bicep Boys. Despite the warm up DJ’s playing what felt a bit like elevator music, Bicep were everything I hoped they would be. Sadly a full day of festival fun ruined me, so I didn’t manage to last out their whole set, I’m not as hardcore as I used to be, but all in all it was a rather delightful day, catching two of my fave DJ / producers in action.

Much to my excitement, these two musical giants teamed up recently for a musical treat. Bicep remixed Disclosure’s UK Top hit ‘You and Me’ with Eliza Doolittle which went out as a free stream via Mixmag. It’s as delicious as I would hope I’m just waiting for the official release.

Hello! I understand this is sort of off-topic but I needed
to ask. Does operating a well-established blog like yours require
a lot of work? I’m completely new to writing a blog however I do write in my journal daily.
I’d like to start a blog so I can easily share my personal experience and feelings
online. Please let me know if you have any kind of suggestions or tips for brand new
    aspiring bloggers. Appreciate it!
