YACHT Presents…Acid Punks

2012 August 19

A delicious ‘acid punk’ mixtape from YACHT! It’s satisfys my hunger for some heavy beats; some old, some new, but all wicked. Starting with a light 1981 Disco ditty from Love Unlimited Orchestra, then moving through to some more punky Disco and electronic grooves. The middle section really nails it for me though, some serious Acid driven house, starting with a nice early 00’s electroclash sounding track from MU ‘Paris Hilton’ followed by Mike Dunn’s ‘Let It Be House’ a serious Acid track with delicious acid 303 bass and analogue drums & a clever riff sample from MJ’s ‘Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough’ next is the 2007 Thomos Edit of Armando’s 1988 Acid stomper ‘Don’t Take it’ and finally a nice little Chicago / Italo sounding bass heavy track from The Barking Dog ‘Mamarracho’ The mix then moves and blends in and out of Deep Soulful house and Electronic Grooves. Take a listen, It’s free to download – I guarantee it won’t disappoint (Or your money back)
